Shay Mitchell is Canadian actress,model and businesswoman. Her most well-known work is her part as Emily Fields in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars. After having a great time with modeling and dance, she decided to get into acting, and began acting classes in Toronto. Mitchell landed several commercials and appeared in guest roles on the TV show before landing her first major part in the role of Emily Fields. The show was highly praised for its abilities by critics as as people who loved her. The career in film started with the films Dreamland, Mother's Day and The Possession of Hannah Grace. Her role in a thriller with a psychological element in the series You that earned her more recognition. Alongside performing, she also dabbled in writing. Along with Michaela Blaney she wrote the adult-oriented book Bliss. The parents of Shay Mitchell, Mark Mitchell (born April 10 in 1988) as well as Precious Garcia, brought her up in Ontario Canada. The mother of Shay Mitchell is Filipina is her parent. While her father is Irish and Scottish. Mitchell is also Lea Salonga's cousin, famous musical theater actress and singer. Mitchell attended Rockridge Secondary School before moving into West Vancouver Secondary. At the end of her teenage years she was modeling for various companies across the globe. She traveled to Barcelona, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, ultimately returning home in Toronto and studying acting.
